When you download or use the gofleet app, it's important to understand the terms and conditions that govern your interaction with our platform. These terms define the rights and responsibilities of both users and gofleet. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these key principles:

  • Acceptance of Terms: By downloading or using the gofleet app, you automatically agree to abide by these terms. These terms are designed to ensure a safe and fair environment for all users. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
  • Restrictions on Usage: You are not permitted to copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the app or any of its components. These restrictions extend to our trademarks as well. You are prohibited from using our trademarks in any way that could create confusion, misrepresentation, or dilution.
  • Protection of Intellectual Property: All rights to the app, including its trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights, remain the exclusive property of gofleet. This protection is vital to maintain the integrity of our brand and the functionality of our platform.

2. Changes and Charges

gofleet is committed to ensuring that the app remains as useful and efficient as possible. Therefore, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or charge for its services at any time and for any reason. We promise not to charge you for the app or its services without clearly explaining what you're paying for.

gofleet is a booking system that provides valuable services. To ensure transparency, we want to inform you of our pricing structure:

  • Booking Fee: When you make a booking through gofleet, a booking fee may apply, typically ranging from 5% to 14% of the booking fee. This fee helps support the continued development and maintenance of our platform.
  • Service Fee: For any transaction conducted on the gofleet platform, a service fee may be charged, usually between 5% and 8% of the transaction amount. This service fee contributes to the operational costs and services we offer.

gofleet provides a secure platform for car rental transactions, and we want to clarify our policies regarding deposits:

  • Deposit Handling: gofleet holds and captures deposits on behalf of the renter. For rentals shorter than 10 days, a deposit hold is established. For bookings longer than 10 days, gofleet will capture the deposit on behalf of the renter.
  • Deposit Release: Deposits will be paid out once the renter confirms their satisfaction and agrees to release the fees to the user. We aim to expedite this process as much as possible.
  • Refund Timeline: If a deposit refund is requested, please note that it may take between 15 to 30 days for the refund to be processed. We appreciate your patience during this period.
  • Partial Refunds: In the event that the renter believes that damages have occurred to the vehicle, they have the ability to request a partial refund of the deposit.

gofleet allows for the assessment of cancellation fees under certain circumstances:

  • Cancellation Fee: gofleet has the authority to charge a cancellation fee on behalf of the renter. If the client cancels a booking, they may be subject to a cancellation fee, which can range from 5% to 95% of the booking amount.
  • Refund and Transaction Fees: If the renter cancels a booking, the client will receive a full refund. However, in such cases, the client will be responsible for covering the transaction fees associated with the refund.

3. Data Security

The gofleet app stores and processes personal data that you provide to us to offer our service. It's your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We recommend against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, as it could compromise your phone's security and the app's functionality.

We take the security of your payment information seriously. gofleet utilizes Peach Payment to store users' cards securely in a card vault. We do not store any card details on our servers, ensuring that your sensitive payment information is protected.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that have their own terms and conditions, which you should review.

  • Google Play Services.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase.
  • Firebase Crashlytics.

5. Internet Connection

Some app functions require an active internet connection. We are not responsible if the app doesn't work at full functionality without access to Wi-Fi or data.

6. Mobile Network Charges

If you use the app outside a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's terms will apply. You may be charged for data or other third-party charges. By using the app, you accept responsibility for these charges.

7. Responsibility

gofleet cannot be held responsible for the way you use the app. You need to ensure that your device stays charged, and we cannot accept responsibility if your device runs out of battery and you cannot access the service.

8. Reliability

While we strive to keep the app updated and correct, we rely on third parties for information. gofleet is not liable for any direct or indirect losses resulting from relying solely on this app's functionality.

gofleet is a booking platform designed to facilitate car rental transactions. It's essential to understand the following aspects of our service:

  • Loss and Damages: gofleet does not assume the risk of loss or damages to any vehicles booked through our platform. While we aim to provide a reliable and secure booking system, any potential loss or damages to vehicles are not the responsibility of gofleet.
  • Safety Vetting: We take safety seriously. To enhance your security and peace of mind, gofleet rigorously vets all renter agents on our platform. However, it's important to note that we do not provide insurance coverage through the app. Insurance matters are arranged externally with the renter agents, and you should review their policies for details on coverage.

9. App Updates

At some point, we may update the app. You'll need to download these updates to continue using the app. We don't promise to update the app continuously, and we may cease its provision at any time without notice.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of changes by posting the new terms on this page.

11. Age Restrictions

gofleet has established age restrictions to ensure the safe and responsible use of our platform. By downloading or using the gofleet app, you agree to the following age-related requirements:

  • Minimum Age: Users must be at least 18 years old to download and use the gofleet app. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
  • Valid Driver's License: In addition to meeting the minimum age requirement, any user wishing to pick up a rental vehicle through gofleet must possess a valid driver's license that allows them to operate the type of vehicle they intend to rent. It is the user's responsibility to ensure that their driver's license is valid and complies with local regulations.
  • Document Verification: Renters using the gofleet app reserve the right to verify the driver's license of the user picking up the vehicle. If the renter deems that the driver's license or other required documents are not in order or do not comply with the rental agreement, the renter has the option to refuse the handover of the vehicle.
